HI! I’M anja

I remember feeling distrustful when I learned that my son was being excluded from learning because of his disability. This experience ignited a passion within me to advocate fiercely for his right to an inclusive and accessible educational environment.

As a Non-Attorney Special Education Advocate, I've dedicated myself to helping families navigate the special education process. Inspired by advocating for my son with autism over the past six years, I now use my experience to help parents navigate the IEP process.

I'm a proud member of the Master IEP Coach® Network and I can't wait to help you on your IEP journey!

SuSubject: Inquiry Regarding My Child's IEP

Dear [Teacher's Name],

I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out to seek information about my child's Individualized Education Program (IEP). I understand that discussing and reviewing my child's educational progress can sometimes feel like a repetitive cycle, and I appreciate the dedication and effort you put into supporting their learning journey.

As a parent, I believe that open communication between home and school is essential for the success of my child's education. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with some insights and updates regarding my child's IEP. I am particularly interested in understanding how my child is progressing, any challenges they may be facing, and the strategies being implemented to support their individual needs.

I value your expertise and input, and I am eager to collaborate with you to ensure that my child receives the best possible education tailored to their unique strengths and challenges. Your feedback and insights are highly valuable to me, and I believe that working together as a team will benefit my child's overall academic and personal growth.

Working with Anja was a game-changer for my family as we navigated the complex special education system and IEP process for my grandson. Her guidance and expertise helped me understand the right questions to ask and how to effectively navigate through the overwhelming process. With her support, we were able to advocate for my grandson's needs and ensure he received the support he deserved.

Ms. Anja's support was a lifeline when my granddaughter's school sent her home due to behavioral issues without any instruction or services. I felt lost on how to express my concerns or request an IEP meeting until she stepped in to guide me. Thanks to her help, I finally felt heard after years of struggle. I am truly grateful for Ms. Anja's expertise and compassion in navigating this difficult situation.
